The HIRED! Apprenticeship Program provides 15 to 18 year-old youths with meaningful, professionally managed career-exploration opportunities in Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) operations. The HIRED! Apprenticeship Program offers valuable paid work experience and training to better equip each participant with the skills needed for a highly competitive job market. Examples of exploratory career fields in this program are: Child and/or Youth Development, Marketing & Graphics, Library & Information Science, Food & Beverage Management, Veterinary Services, Recreation & Tourism Management, Physical Education, Information Management, and Sports Management.

The EDGE! Program offers out-of-school opportunities for youths ages 6 to 18 to experience, develop, grow and excel by participating in cutting-edge art, fitness, life skills and adventure activities. The EDGE! program is open to dependents of all branches of the Military, DoD Civilians, Government Contractors, and Retirees. Registration is free and is done at Parent Central, bldg. 2797. Please refer to the back of the calendar for fees and details about activities.
Art EDGE! Offers Photography, Ceramics, Pottery, Jewelry Making, Seasonal Crafts, Digital Music making, Fashion Design, Scrapbooking, Theater Arts, and Hip-Hop Dance
Fit EDGE! Offers Aerobics, Nutrition Program, Weight Management, Tumbling and Cheerleading, Bowling and Weight Training
Life EDGE! Offers Cooking, Culinary Arts, Auto Maintenance & Repair Skills, Book Clubs, Marketing/Advertising/Money Management, and Living Green
Adventure EDGE! Offers Golf, Hiking, Kayaking, Rock and Wall Climbing, Swimming, Archery, Skateboarding, Ice Skaing, and Horseback Riding
